Sometimes it is important to show popular support for a particular issue, or the outrage shared by many. If we think it will help our cause to ask for a show of feeling, we may run a petition.

Tell the Parliamentary Labour Party that Jeremy Corbyn is an antisemite and must go

For as long as the Labour Party is in Jeremy Corbyn’s grip, it cannot be a force for good. His past demonstrates that he should never have been elected to the leadership of the Labour Party and he is unfit to hold any public office.

The hour is now. Jeremy Corbyn must go.

To achieve this, only 52 Labour MPs need to propose a challenger, or Labour MPs could propose a vote of no confidence, or set up their own political party. We call on the Parliamentary Labour Party to take action.

Force political parties to meet minimum standards on discrimination

Traditionally, British political parties are regulated only by the electorate, apart from basic rules on matters such as campaign funding which are enforced by the Electoral Commission. There are no rules against discrimination.

It is clear that political parties are not trusted to deal with discrimination themselves. For example, our polling has found that 92% of British Jews feel that UK political parties tolerate antisemitism.

The law should require political parties to have fair, efficient and transparent procedures for tackling discrimination amongst members, or the parties should face substantial fines.

Political parties should be obliged to meet a minimum requirement for tackling discrimination of all forms, including antisemitism, based on the Campaign Against Antisemitism’s guidance.

Stop the pro-Hizballah parades

Supporters of Hizballah annually parade through London and are permitted to do so on the grounds that only Hizballah’s “military wing” is proscribed. Even Hizballah admits there is no “military wing”. We must stop these parades on our streets.

Britain proscribes Hizballah’s “military wing” but, at the behest of the Foreign Office, not its “political wing”. Hizballah mocks the distinction. For example in 2012 its Deputy Secretary-General said: “We don’t have a military wing and a political one”.

Hizballah seeks the extermination of Jews. For example in 2004 its Secretary-General said: “If Jews all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.” It has been responsible for terrorist attacks murdering Jews from Buenas Aires to Burgas, and has even been blamed for two bombings targeting Jews in London in 1994.

Only the Home Secretary, Sajid Javid, can proscribe Hizballah in its entirety under the Terrorism Act 2000. Please add your name to our Parliamentary Petition calling for these disgraceful parades in support of this genocidal antisemitic terrorist group to be banned.
