Moshe Fuerst, the 17-year-old Jewish boy knocked unconscious and beaten whilst lying helpless on the ground awoke from a coma yesterday. Fuerst suffered a fractured skull and a brain injury on Saturday in a violent antisemitic attack in Manchester. He and three friends (two teenagers and a 20-year-old) were wounded when they were assaulted whilst waiting at the Bowker Vale tram stop.
A photograph released by his father, Rabbi Michael Fuerst, shows the extent of his potentially life-changing injuries.
Greater Manchester Police forensics teams have scoured the site of the attack for clues and the force is now hunting three suspects whose descriptions have not been released.
